Whats in a name

May 4, 2011

The name Tree of Life comes from Norse mythology, where Yggdrasil (something a mouthful) is the tree that all of the various planes of existence are attached to, due to this Yggdrasil is also sometimes known as the World Tree.  Yggdrasil is an Ash tree, and is where the Norse Gods hold court.

Æ is an Old English letter that means Ash tree (along with Latin, Norse, Danish…its really a versatile letter) and as such it fits perfectly as a logo.
